I Teach ALL Ages

Whether you're a beginner, progressing drummer or in need of motivation and ideas I can design lessons to help you achieve your goals.

Children 7 and younger.

There is nothing more exciting then watching a beginner discover drumming for the first time. For the young beginner I will do a general evaluation to see how much interest the student has as well as assess whether or not it is the right time for the student to begin drum lessons. It would be a waste of the parents’ time and money if the child is too busy running around the studio and not paying attention to the lesson. In the case that lessons are not appropriate yet I would recommend waiting 3-6 months before trying again.

When working with young students, lessons will be designed to keep their attention and keep it fun. Drumming requires coordination so a great deal of the lesson will be working with hand and feet development. The student will be introduced to written music by playing games and using art as a way to help them identify the different notes, rest and other music theory.

Snare Drum | Drum Set

I teach Snare Drum - Rudimental and Concert  | DRUM SET - Rock, Funk, Blues, Jazz and Latins.

 What's in a LESSON

In a regular lesson we will warm up, go over questions and concerns from the previous lesson, go over new material, and end with open discussion and demonstrations that the student may have regarding goals, drumming or anything to do with music.

What is your goal in music? I've been around the "musical" block so to speak, so ask me anything. Need advice on how to make the high school band, prepare for a college audition, start gigging in local bands or begin a career in music on a professional level? I've been there and am just an email away. Some answers can be found by having a simple conversation,  while others may require our getting together for a custom lesson that suits your needs.
