Jason Robertson
Studied at Western Carolina University in Music Education. While at WCU I marched snare and bass drum in the award winning Pride of the Mountains Marching Band with Matt Henley as drum line instructor. I played in the percussion ensemble, wind ensemble, jazz ensemble and in various musicals as a pit musician, under percussion instructor, Dr. Mario Gaetano.
Went to the Armed Forces School of Music to study music theory and jazz theory, and studied privately in all styles of music.
While in the Navy Band I performed in many types of groups: Rock band (top 40), small group jazz, big band, show band, concert band and marching band (parade).
I retired from the Navy in 2013.
Since 1990, I've taught all ages and all styles of music.
